Dinah Abrahamson, OBM (written for the Gal Einai weekly newsletter)

dinah family (1)

It is with profound sadness that we write about the passing of Dinah Abrahamson, a close friend of the Gal Einai family, at the young age of 59, this past Tuesday.

In her merit, thousands were introduced to our Jewish Heart necklace during an interview with Oprah Winfrey, in a video excerpt entitled “The Mystical Side of Hasidic Judaism.”

You can view the two-minute clip. Officially it does not play in Israel:

In line with the topic of last week’s newsletter, sent prior to the news, Dinah often mentioned to me how important spreading the awareness of the Seven Laws of Noah were to her. She was a great source of encouragement and inspiration throughout the years, and no matter what else she was busy with, would always make time to attend the classes of the Rav, and share the teachings with others.

She is survived by her daughter, Mrs. Sarah Seigel, her son Yosef Abrahamson, her sister, granddaughter, nieces and nephews and numerous friends and acquaintances whose lives were touched by her.

The shiva is being observed until Tuesday morning, December 24th, the 21st of Tevet, at 1324 Carroll Street, Apt #2C (corner Brooklyn ave.) in Crown Heights, Brooklyn.

Times for Prayer Services:

Shacharit 8:30am

Mincha 4:30pm

Ma’ariv bizman (at its halachic start time)

The family requests friends should kindly visit between 2:30pm-8:00pm. May the Almighty comfort Sarah, Yosef, and the extended family, amongst all the mourners of Zion and Jerusalem.

Shabbat Shalom,

Yonatan Gordon, English Editor
